A concrete staircase offers structure and durability, but when left unfinished, it can feel cold and utilitarian. At Bavari, we specialise in elevating these staircases into architectural showpieces, blending function with bespoke form. Through our refined process and client-focused approach, we transform raw concrete into sculptural centrepieces designed to suit the most luxurious interiors.
If you’re planning a renovation or building a new home and have a concrete staircase in place, here’s what you need to know about working with Bavari to clad it to perfection.

Our Bespoke Process
We’ve developed a comprehensive and precise process for cladding concrete stairs, refined over two decades of experience with high-end residential and commercial projects across Ireland and the UK.
Step 1: 3D Laser Measurement
We begin with an exact 3D laser scan of your concrete staircase, including any well openings and balconies. This ensures precision from the outset and captures every contour, no matter how complex the shape or height.
Step 2: Design & Visualisation
Using the scan data, our in-house team creates detailed 2D shop drawings and photorealistic 3D renders of the proposed cladding. These visuals allow you—and your architect or interior designer—to review, revise, and approve the design before production begins.
Step 3: Handcrafted Precision
The staircase components are then expertly handcrafted by our master tradesmen using the highest-quality materials. Every detail is crafted with unrivalled care, from the treads and risers to the curves of your custom handrail.
Step 4: Sectioning & Installation
The staircase is carefully broken into manageable sections, transported to your site, and reassembled directly onto your existing concrete structure by our experienced installation team.
Step 5: Protective Covering
Upon installation, we apply protective coverings to keep the staircase in perfect condition during ongoing site work—this includes foam underlay, 12mm ply/MDF boards, specialist handrail edge protectors, and breathable mesh for metal spindles.
Step 6: Finishing Touches
If paint or polish is required, this is completed on-site or in advance, depending on the project. We then re-cover the staircase to protect the finish until building works are complete.
Step 7: Final Reveal
Once your project is ready, we return to carefully unwrap your new staircase. The result is a flawless focal point, rich in craftsmanship and character.
